An excellent chain of bookstores. There's a big branch on Oxford Street and at Trafalgar Square. You can find anything you want here, staff are excellent.

The Piccadilly Waterstone's is one of the biggest bookshops in London, on no less than six floors, and is conveniently close to Piccadilly Circus.

The turreted branch in Bloomsbury, opposite ULU and UCL provokes rage for being the only branch not to offer a student discount. However, it has a very pleasant basement coffee shop and a good range of discounted and second hand books on the first floor.
