Nice little sandwich/soup/sushi place.

Only one sushi set available, at £4.50. It's made by the catering branch of Noto, so it's a little disappointing that the only fish used is salmon. You get (if I remember right) four pieces of salmon nigiri, four pieces of salmon roll, two pieces of cucumber roll, and a piece of large inside-out roll. It's ample, just not really very varied. The rice isn't bad at all, though nothing outstanding.

The miso soup is pretty nice. It's available every day, plus there's a rotating selection of other soups.

They apparently do dim sum, probably only a small selection, but char siu buns are on the permanent menu, so I have hopes of the quality being reasonable. Note as of March 2003: they're having trouble with their supplier, so dim sum are currently unavailable.

The coffee is OK but not particularly great.

There are a couple of seats (space for maybe six people comfortably, more at a squeeze) if you want to eat in, and one or two newspapers provided, and two tables outside on the pavement when the weather is nice, but it's mainly a takeaway.
