The Open Guide to London: the free London guide - Differences between Version 4 and Version 3 of Luton Airport

Contents are identical

Luton has had an airport for some years; however, in the mid 1990s BAA (the British Airports Authority) renamed it to London Luton and claimed it was "London's Fifth Airport". Most people have not fallen for this.

Luton has a single runway (08/26) of 7086 feet, with a terminal area to the north. Club and recreational flying are permitted.

Luton is not on the Tube, but trains run from London Bridge Station along the Thameslink line, taking about half an hour from King's Cross St. Pancras Station.
