Drinks

Litten Bitter 99p/pint is surprisingly drinkable, also Broadside. Usual range of lagers including Kroneburg 1664. Pint of soft drink was £1.50. When we visited on Thursday evening they had run out of both bitters by about 10pm.

There is one pool table situated in a spacious area to the back of the pub, which was quiet both times we've visited (a Thursday lunchtime and a Thursday evening). However, it seems that the area doubles up as the disco floor, so don't expect to play pool on a Friday or Saturday night, when we expect the clietentelle and atmosphere to differ markedly. The pool table may seem expensive at £1.50 a game, but consider that you can get 2 pints and a round of pool and still have change from a fiver!

Food

Usual pub fair, sandwiches to steaks. On the Thursday lunchtime two of us ordered curries, which were very late in arriving. (Our beef eating companions had already finished). However, food is good and reasonably priced.
