Luckily, there is still [[Mega City Comics]], which is less than 10 minutes away on the tube, and carries much of the same stock, along with a fair bit more!

This is one of my favourite comic stores in London. It's got less of the superhero range than Forbidden Planet and tends to stock lots of publications from places like Drawn and Quarterly and Oni Press. They do stock comics from the more mainstream presses too, and there's a reasonable selection of Manga. There's a good selection of graphic novels, interesting collections, and related comic-ish books and magazines.

And the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, Comic Showcase appears to have now closed for good (as at end of May 2006)! Luckily, I still have Mega City Comics which is less than 10 minutes away on the tube.

Worth a look also is Murder One, the crime and SF bookshop, which is a couple of doors along.
