Coffee@ is a lovely place on Brick Lane. don't be put off by the apogee-of-shoreditch-funky clientele. The coffee isn't cheap, but it's good and certainly a much better deal than *$.

A recent innovation is free wireless - they also have a few iMacs available for about 1.50 / hour, again not cheap but not bad for round the 'City, very good signal strength and connectivity. I hope it stays this way....
