A nice market, but can be very over-priced. The centre of the Market is a 200-year-old or so complex of shops and glass-roofed plazas. (A look at the map may serve to clarify). Outside is a large square with many bars and restaurants, and usually some street entertainers, for which the square is famous. The Market gets very crowded with tourists on weekends, but quiet during the week.

Getting a coffee from Ponti's (no. 5 on the map, in the North Hall) and sitting in the covered plaza ("Sitting out area") can be a wonderful way to spend an evening, especially in the summer.
