Guide recommendations
The New World on Gerrard Place in Chinatown is good for dim sum.
Golden Harvest, WC2H 7BE, also in Chinatown, is pretty good, particularly for vegans.
Wong Kei, W1D 6PX is also recommended.
"The Garden" is a bakery and restaurant at 51 Charing Cross Road. The bakery does really, really nice spring onion bread for 60p -- it's in the case under the counter. It's a slightly sweet yeast bread with chopped spring onions and boiled eggs in, enough for a light lunch.

Hoo Hing is a large Chinese cash and carry that has an online store as well as five locations in various industrial estates around London. Probably most useful to people with cars though.
