I think i learned a lot about London here. Prosaic, i know, but it feels so completely different to the provincial supermarkets i grew up with: it's a combination of the presence of aisles full of exotic goods (there are Indian and Caribbean aisles here) and the all-pervading squalour. On second thought, maybe it taught me more about Hackney than it did about London ... -- Tom A
