The Open Guide to London: the free London guide - Differences between Version 7 and Version 6 of Where To Get On

Contents are identical

It's all very well knowing where in the tube train to stand so that you can be near the platform exit at your chosen station (see Where To Alight) but for longer journeys it would also be useful to know where on the platform to stand so that you can be near the least-crowded part of the train. It's nice to not be crowded. It's even nicer to have a seat.

If you see a "Where To Get On" entry on a page about a Tube station, going to the place indicated should give you a good chance of being on the least-crowded part of the train.

Of course, the more people who read this, the more people will get on there...
