Upper Street is one of the main streets in Islington. It runs from Angel Station to Highbury Corner/Highbury and Islington Station, with Islington Green located about half way along.

Featuring a large collection of pubs, bars, resturants, plus the odd fire station and council office it's a rather busy and bustling street any time of the day or night.

The 19, 43, 4, and 30 busses run it's entire length.

The [Street Sensation] website will show you pictures of every building on the street.

Whilst taking a 43 bus up the street in November 2003 I found a couple of wireless networks called StreetNet, which seem to be some sort of Islington-funded network intended to cover the length of Upper Street. If you're interested in that sort of thimg, it's probably worth looking for, especially around the iPoint kiosks at the Angel end of the street. -- blech
