There is a whole wing dedicated to the works of JMW Turner. The Tate Britain also shows the controversial Turner Prize.
The gallery is in a rather unusual location, on the north bank of the Thames (Millbank) in Pimlico, a much less accessible and residential location than its sibling the Tate Modern. However, a visit to each gallery can be combined with the Tate-to-Tate riverboat service, running every 40 minutes and costing around �4 for adults (with a 1/3 discount for Travelcard holders.
