The northernmost station of the East London Line, Shoreditch Station is only open at peak hours. Trains arrive here, sit for a few minutes while litter-pickers descend, then head back off in the direction they came from.

It's not worth getting a train from here to Whitechapel Station to change to the District Line - much better to walk down Brick Lane to Aldgate East. You end up spending almost as much time to change platforms at Whitechapel as you would to walk down the street to Aldgate East.

Shoreditch station is due to close in the next couple of years when the line is rerouted for the extension. There will be a replacement station further away on Shoreditch High Street. --Dave
