This market is a lot bigger than it looks from outside. It's mostly made up of cheap clothes stalls, but there are some really rather nice things available - some very pretty scarves, for example. There are two cheap household goods stalls - check quality before you buy, but there are some real bargains if you're careful

Two fishmongers and three butchers (at least one of which is halal). Three or four vegetable stalls selling interesting things like yams, cassava and breadfruit. Two falafel/kebab stalls. Two or three eat-in cafes with tables outside. A couple of "continental foods cash and carry" type shops, one of which at least - New Moon - carries 10kg sacks of various kinds of rice.

There are also several fabric stalls, offering a range of things from fun furs to thin sari fabrics, and a few other stalls with things like sewing and embroidery threads and seed beads. A couple of the fabric stalls had fabrics on sale for a pound a yard.

Perhaps not worth much of a journey, but certainly worth a wander through if you're in the area and any of these things interest you.
