I've contributed to several wikis, and prefer to do so anonymously unless I believe it is useful for me to be identified as the author. Or until I get thrown off the wiki for doing exactly that.
I'd find it useful if you put your username in when editing stuff. If I see that an edit's been made by someone familiar with the local conventions, then I don't need to worry so much about checking whether the edit's graffiti or misplaced or something. A note in the Comment box is also very useful. You certainly won't get “thrown off” for remaining anonymous though! --Kake
