Drinks

Abbot Ale was 2.50, Strongbow 2.55. [Prices as of July 2003]

Food

It's just standard pub food. Nothing special. Soup of the day with butter and half a small baguette was £1.99, not homemade, and came with nasty dried herbs sprinkled on top. Main courses are all between £5 and £6 apart from the mixed grill. There's a vegetarian pasta dish, a vegetarian chilli and a veggie burger but that's about it for non-meat/fish. "Feed me" rather than "treat me".[Prices as of January 2004]

Layout

A pub inside a shopping centre.

Despite the seemingly unpleasant surroundings this is quite a nice pub, and definitely convenient for the tube (Hammersmith station is 1 minute away — I reckon you could get from your seat on the Tube to the bar within a minute and a half, given suitable lack of commuter density. We should test this. --Kake).

There is outside seating away from the shopping centre, although there is no real protection from the elements, unless you are seated close to the insubstantial decorative window shades on the pub's outside walls.

Service and Ambience

The seating inside was uncrowded the Saturday night we visited, but the music was quite loud. Not so loud as some places get on Saturday nights — I'd have preferred it quieter but I didn't really have that much trouble hearing conversation. --Kake

Also visited on a Monday lunchtime - not overly crowded, not overly loud music.

Service has varied the times we've been here - comments are "good, but it was quiet at the time", "listless", "very friendly and helpful".

The general decor is quiet but inoffensive, not bland but not in-your-face theme pub.
