The market, at least on Saturdays, has a cheese stall selling out-of-date French and British cheeses. Of course, cheese doesn't really go off, at least not that quickly. The camemberts and bries are ready-to-eat with gooey, soft centres. The crottins are three-to-the-pound! (Note: the cheap cheese stall is the one at the north end of the market, near the junction with Lillie Road. There is another cheese stall at the other end, but it's more expensive but has more interestign cheeses) |
