A small Italian restaurant just off the crossroads in Cheam Village, about 5 minutes walk from Cheam Station.

The staff are friendly (enthusiastically so) and the food is good, large and filling. They offer a variety of meat, vegetarian and fish dishes as well as pastas and pizzas. Of the dishes we tried (selected from a limited party menu), all were exceedingly good. If you judge an Italian restaurant by the quality of its pasta, wine and liqueurs, all three were of the first quality.

The wine list is suitably Italian and ranges form 13 to 30 (Oct 2004). The Baralo was very good. Supposedly you can also get wine from their private cellar. These aren't listed on the wine list.

They like patrons' birthdays and finish off rousing choruses of "Happy Birthday To You" with much banging and throwing around of pots and pans. And a candle-topped dessert for the birthday boy/girl/pensioner.

It was very busy on a Friday night. Booking would be worthwhile.
