Metro is a free morning newspaper, available in 16 cities across the UK, and is currently the 4th largest national newspaper in the UK. It is aimed at 18-44 year olds, and provides short articles on current affairs, entertainment, sport, etc. Available for morning rush hour commuters, it can be found at tube and bus stations.

It was launched in March 1999, and is part of Associated Newspapers, which is home to London Lite, a free evening newspaper launched in August 2006.
