Upminster is a place in the London Borough of Havering. The area developed rapidly in the early 1900s with the coming of the railway as an archetypal garden suburb.
Upminster is famous for [Upminster Windmill]?, one of the few remaining windmills in Greater London. Locally, the windmill is an icon for the town. Upminster is home to Roomes Stores a large independant family-run department store.
