The Strand is a long street leading from Trafalgar Square in the west roughly along the line of the river to [Fleet Street]?. Somerset House is possibly the main building of interest along its route, together with the [Savoy Hotel]?. It's also home to the former Aldwych Station.

You can walk from Somerset House to Charing Cross station and pass about a dozen coffee bars and the same amount of mobile phone shops, if that's your thing.

You may hear The Strand also called simply Strand.
