The headquarters of Lloyd's of London. It was designed by Richard Rogers, and built between 1979 and 1986 out of steel (lots of steel) and glass (lots and lots of glass), with all the awkward permanent structural bits on the outside, so that the inside is a highly flexible space; it is thus in a very real sense the Centre Pompidou Mark II. It is 312 feet tall. It looks a bit like an oil rig.

The facade of the previous Lloyd's building, at 12 Leadenhall St (postcode EC3V 1LP), was retained, and integrated into the building.
