The station is in a tunnel underneath the track itself. This means that there are two exits: one to [[Church Lane, E11|Church Lane]] which leads to [[Leytonstone High Road]] and the shops, library, church, and so on, and the other to [[Fairlop Road]] and [[Grove Green Road]] and the more residential "Upper Leytonstone". Each side has its own bus stops, so choose carefully! There is a small car park on the [[Grove Green Road]] side, but no parking or stopping space on the High Road side. |

Note that almost everyone else already knows this. If the last two carriages of your Central Line train are already full when you embark you'll probably find they don't get much emptier before Leyton.

The tunnel features a number of mosaics of scenes from movies directed by Hitchcock to commemorate Hitchcock's birth at 517 Leytonstone High Road, making this one of the Tube stations with art.
