Argentinian steak restaurant. Didn't bother with the starters, but went straight for the fillet steak with fried eggs. This was the tenderest tastiest steak I've had in a very long time. Portions were generous, but veg was a seperate side order. Various other meat dishes; the duck and the grilled chicken were both well recieved. Vegetarians get short thrift I'm afraid; apart from salads, the only item on the menu for them was 'Argentinian Vegetarian Dish'.

Starters ~ 4 pounds Mains ~ 8 - 16 pounds Desserts ~ 4 - 5 pounds

A group of us having just the main and wine averaged out at ~20 pounds a head, service inclusive. We couldn't have managed a dessert.

La Pampa has a second branch round the corner at 4 Northcote Road.
