Notes on the station layout
The two platforms both have exits to the street, and are connected by a footbridge and a subway (the footbridge is probably easier for people with mobility problems).
A pub (I don't know its name - fix please) faces onto the eastbound platform with large plate glass windows. This was originally part of the station concourse, but is now outside the ticket barriers.
Nearby places of interest
For the gardens, cross to the Eastbound platform side of the tracks, and proceed along the road directly facing the station.
