A small branch of K10, with the main restaurant round the corner at K10 City, EC2R 7DN. They mainly deal with takeaway food, but have a window counter to eat-in at, but they charge extra for the privilege.

They offer a range of salads, sushi sets, sashimi, and rice and noodle dishes, as well as a range of english and japanese drinks.

Prices (as of Sep 2004):

  • Sashimi: 2.50
  • Sushi Sets: 2.50-40
  • Salads: 3-4
  • Hot Food: 5

A full menu (which looks slightly out of date) can be found on their website.

The quality of the food is generally good, leading to slightly higher prices than similar outlets in the area. The food is generally worth the bit extra though.

The salads don't seem to very much - base of salad leaves with a boiled egg, a couple of cherry tomatoes, a couple of olives, some roasted pepper, generic dressing and a topping (tuna and an anchovie for nicoise, flaked salmon and sun dried tomato for "thai" salmon, mozarella strips for...mozarella). They are however rather nice.

The sashimi sets are quite small, with for or 5 pieces of fish, but they aren't too expensive. They also do seared fish and meat for those who are not fans of the fully raw.

The sushi sets vary vastly in size and content, but are about the same price for quantity as other places in the area. They have a pretty good selection of vegetarian and pescetarian sets, mixing nigri and maki of various types.

HOWEVER. After 2.30pm all salads, sushi and sashimi is half price. This makes everything very reasonable in cost.
