Historical version 5 of Hyde Park (view current version)
The largest central London park with Marble Arch and Speakers Corner at the north east corner, and [High Street Kensington]? on the south west. It borders onto Kensington Gardens on the west.
Attractions in Hyde Park include the Albert Memorial, the [Serpentine Gallery]? and the Serpentine itself, on which you can paddle in hired rowing boats or pedalos for 3.50 an hour (adult price) until 18:30 in the summer, or swim. To the west of the Serpentine is the famous statue of Peter Pan, said to be a favourite of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, and as seen at the end of "Hook" and in no doubt other films. In the north-east corner of the park is "Speaker's Corner", where people go to debate things for fun (unless it's raining).
There is a pricey underground carpark beneath Hyde Park.
