The Open Guide to London: the free London guide - Differences between Version 7 and Version 6 of Feature Requests
Contents are identical
Got an idea for something useful the Guide could have? Leave it here....
- Text-only page
- Mail-this-page button
- Notify changes button
- Show me the nearest station / two stations to this location (could be automatic on all pages with a location, possibly turned on by user preference)
- Filter search on locale and category (I intend to revamp the search --IvorW)
- RSS (etc.,) feed for each page
What would you suggest for this? For me, RSS feeds suggest a list of items that change over time. Do you mean a kind of "recent changes for this page"? -- Earle.
More: RSS is useful, and used, for far more than a list of changes to a page. It would (sorry, should) be pretty straightforward to add a function to render RSS (or 'proper' RDF, or Necho or whatever) to any page. (Actually, why not a plain-text feed of each page as well?) The 'default view' as HTML is fine for use with eyes, but those pesky machines get everywhere! -- RobertBrook
- Pages in WAP format
Does anyone still use WAP? :) I like the idea of perhaps offering an XHTML Basic option. -- Earle.
Gah! +1 for XHTML Basic. -- RobertBrook
- Add-to-page (rather than or in addition to edit this page)
I'm interested by this, could you elaborate? -- Earle.
Thinking of the /Discussion or /Talk links on Wikipedia. A way to encourage (allow?) contributions in an open manner without trampling on the original page. -- RobertBrook
