Architecture
The modern building dates from 1968. It is generally agreed to be the worst of the central London terminuses, both ugly and unfriendly to use. See article.
Interchanges

Facilities
All those that you would expect at a major rail terminus. Note, there are some cash machines hidden in the interchange with the Silverlink platforms.
Food options are mediocre. Apart from Upper Crust, Burger King and their ilk, a Whistlestop shop by the Silverlink platforms is the best bet on the station. If you've got twenty minutes, you could get a takeaway meal from African Kitchen in Drummond St next door.
Public toilets are situated in the Northern corner of the station near platform 1 - entry costs 20p
