Food
Serves Thai food between noon and 6pm. A range of Thai curries, stirfries and noodles dishes all priced at £5 (or £5.50 with prawns). All dishes except one can be made vegetarian. The food is available for takeaway too.
The food is pretty good. The Pad Thai with Prawns comes with six large king prawns with their tails still on. A good balance of prawns, vegetables, noodles, egg and rice and an ample portion.

Service and Ambience
Small, friendly, not crowded. Not full of suits. Background music — somewhat 80s — but not overly loud.
History
CAMRA North London says:
No Real Ale. Was called the Thunderer after 'The Times' newspaper, the offices of which used to be opposite. The Pillar Box was insipired by the proximity of the Mount Pleasant postal sorting office. Formerly Pillar Box, Thunderer.
