Historical version 4 of Category Beer Gardens (view current version)

Not a garden you grow beer in, but a garden you drink beer in. Generally attached to pubs.

London (and indeed British) beer gardens vary tremendously, from The Anchor Bankside's vast riverside patio to The Hole In The Wall's couple of seats in a shared courtyard. Some pubs don't have a real beer garden but do have a few seats outside on the pavement -- for the purposes of grubstreet, we're not counting those as pubs with beer gardens.
