The quintessential London band of the 90s, Blur, although they grew up in Colchester, have chronicled the city better than anyone else this decade. Modern Life is Rubbish featured a picture of them on a District Line carriage, and songs like For Tomorrow act as a tour of the city's more prosaic sights; the Westway, Primrose Hill, Portobello Road. Parklife possibly overdoes the Cockney thing, but there are still gems on the rest of the album.
