summary='Small airport in Bromley, SE London' |
Biggin Hill is a London airport only by extremes of courtesy. It has two runways, one of 5932 feet (heading 03/21) and one of 2677 feet (heading 11/29), with the main terminal area to the west of the longer runway.
Biggin Hill is far enough from London that quite a few light aircraft (both business jets and general aviation) use this airport. However, because of legal action by the local authority, no scheduled flights can now operate from the airport - it's just private and charter flights at the moment.
The best way to get to Biggin Hill is by rail from Victoria Station to Bromley South Station, then a 320 bus or local taxi.
