Hmm - opinion is divided on this. A lot of people, including the older residents of Bankside, don't consider it to be a real place, just a brand.

A counter-revolution seems to have sprung up, especially around the Tate Modern, where someone has added 'We Are" to the signs, so that they read "We Are Bankside".
