One of the best football teams in the UK, alas, and subject of the novel Fever Pitch.
They first formed in South London, at the [Woolwich Arsenal]?. This is the reason they have a cannon on their crest, and is why they are known as the Gunners. (Arsenal fans are often called Gooners, amongst other things.) When they moved north to [Highbury]? they dropped the Woolwich from their name. They'll be on the move again soon, but not as far this time. Their new home will be Ashburton Grove.
