The upstairs is quite small and narrow, with tables that would seat maybe 2 or 3 people tucked in around the edges. There is a screen or two to break up the space and provide privacy. It is a little bit squashed-in; the tables are very close together. |

Everything on the menu is available as takeaway, at the same price. The large sushi box is 7.80, and is plenty for one hungry person - you get six maki and tuna, salmon, squid, tamago, prawn, and mackerel nigiri. [Price as of May 2002] |
Everything on the menu is available as takeaway, at the same price. The large sushi box is 7.80, and is plenty for one hungry person. It's a mix of nigiri and maki. The rice is moist and well-flavoured, and the ratio of rice-fish-wasabi on the nigiri is just right. [Prices as of May 2002] |

The "sushi course" set menu is good value at £13 - you get battered fishcake things, agedashi tofu, miso soup, and a large sushi box. [Price as of May 2004] |

Zipangu is an interesting place. Try to get a seat downstairs in one of the holes for a rather cosy location. Their sushi and sashimi is the best in Chinatown.
