Architecture
The ticket hall is a huge circle underneath Piccadilly Circus itself, with exits all around the circumference (to Piccadilly, Regent's Street, the Trocadero and towards Haymarket).
Two sets of escalators lead to an intermediate floor, then there are two runs of escalators, one to the Bakerloo and one to the Piccadilly.
Facilities
Around the main ring of the station there is at least one snack shop, and there are also payphones.
Where To Get On
- Piccadilly Line westbound: Go to the far left of the platform, which is where the back of the train will be. I was there this evening (Saturday 2002-02-16) and they were even announcing this over the tannoys, but people weren't taking any notice. I got a seat in the last carriage, as indeed did everyone else who got into that carriage, while at the other end of the train people were squeezed in tightly as the train arrived at the platform; goodness knows what it was like after the crowds tried to get on.
- The Bakerloo is generally a lot quieter, so you probably don't need to worry too much.
