This pub is due a reccie. Earlier this year (2005) the pub was under threat of closure owing to pressures from the landowners to sell up and turn the building into flats :(! I know that CAMRA did have a campaign involving Harringay Council, to block the planning application. I presume this was successful, as the website is reporting that the pub has been doing beer festivals recently. I'd like to know the full story, and I'd also like someone to check the accuracy of our page, re Wi-fi, etc. --IvorW
Despite being quite off the beaten track (with apologies to locals living in Harringey and South Tottenham), the pub is quite worth the journey.
It's a good idea to check the last train times though, and make sure you have enough time to get to the station (as we didn't - IvorW September 2004).

One of the licensees is on the London.pm list. He has set up wireless internet access for those who want/need it.
Layout
This is a large, cavernous pub, all on the level. Apparently there is some kind of stage or function room behind the pub, but this wasn't investigated.
