Blackheath is a well-to-do neighbourhood just south of the elegant Greenwich Park on the A2 road in southeast London. Its town centre is now dominated by bars and restaurants and the Blackheath Halls provide a range of quality entertainments including films and music of many different types. It has historic associations with the Suffragette movement and is now associated with a kite festival, a major fireworks display and the start of the London Marathon. Most of the grand villas in Blackheath are now subdivided into flats or adapted as office space for various professionals. * Blackheath the park * http://www.blackheath.org/ address= category='Locales' edit_type='Minor tidying' fax= formatted_website_text= host='217.155.148.30' hours_text= locale='South London' map_link= opening_hours_text= phone= postcode= website= |
