| Alternative type pub in Croydon. Plays loud (alternative) music and has good beer. The Spitfire was very drinkable and only 2.25 a pint . Hobgoblin at 2.20 a pint. [July 2004] They have both Strongbow and Scrumpy Jack. Appears to be the hangout of choice for the drinking parts of Croydon's pagan community, amongst others. Bar staff are possibly slightly over-eager to throw customers out at closing time. |

Food served 12:00-19:00 everyday except sunday when its 12:00-15:00. Wide range of pub staples at reasonable prices. A very nice Steak Sandwich was 3.75 [July 2004] no chips with that though. The steak was cooked to my liking. All the other dishes looked to be resonably priced. They even offer veggie sausage sandwich. |
