The Open Guide to London: the free London guide - Differences between Version 6 and Version 5 of Mile End Park
Contents are identical
Mile End Park is perhaps a unique park in that the residents were so upset that Mile End Road went through the middle of their park that they persuaded the government to join the two parts of the park together.
This park now has a green bridge going over the road which has soil, grass, and even a tree growing on it. There's a photo at http://www.sublimephotography.co.uk/eastendphotos/milendpk/pages/greenbrpan.htm
The Regent's Canal runs alongside the park, and BW towpath permit holders are permitted to use it as a traffic-free cycle route.
