It seems rather confused as to whether it's a pub or a restaurant, with complete waiter service at your table somewhat mucking up the idea of people gathering for an evening of eating and drinking. The waitress was very understanding of our confussion about paying the bill. Personally I thought the food was overpriced with portions being stunningly unimpressive I expect more than 5 spoonfulls of pudding and 3 spoons of ice-cream for 4.50. - Lorna

Good Beer Guide listed free house on Parson's Green. An excellent selection of real ales on draught, as well as eight continental beers on tap. Huge selection of bottled beers; all in all, up to 60 beers available in the pub at any time. Regular beer festivals held. Real ales very reasonable at ~UKP 2.50, continental beers up to UKP 4 a pint. Beer quality was decent.

Very comfortable traditional interior, nice leather sofas. Beer garden on patio outside. The pub is also known as the 'Sloaney Pony', although braying Sloane Rangers were not out in force on the Monday evening we visited. Was still quite busy though; probably gets quite full on busier nights of the week. Good for people-watching.

Food looked excellent, if a little pricier than your average pub grub. A nice touch is that the menus suggest beer and wines to match the individual dishes.

Apparently has a function room; may need to rent this.
