A "book" of 10 tube tickets bought in advance for single journeys within zone 1. You can buy them at any touch-screen ticket machine or at the ticket office. Each book costs �11.50, making an individual journey �1.15 - a saving of 45p per journey.

The price will increase to �15.00 in Jan 2004 (when normal zone 1 fares will increase to �2.00). The Carnet will generally be superceded by the pre-pay Oyster Card which should launch with the fares change.
