Food
A good range of excellent food, although I paid > 10 for a steak, it was worth it --IvorW. This pub serves proper chips like mum used to do them.
Service and Ambience
This pub was packed on a Saturday evening, but a welcome respite from the horrible pubs in and around Ealing Broadway (all of which had bouncers on the door). Despite this, I was able to get a table after a short wait. -- IvorW.
Bar space can be at a premium, as many locals enjoy drinking their pint at the bar, standing or sitting on a bar stool.
The staff are very friendly and efficient. Note: the landlord is a tenant, not a Fuller's employee, and he is delighted to talk about the guest beers. He is responsible for getting the Staropraven in (which is actually on Fuller's list, hence does not count as a guest beer).
The walls have framed prints (many signed) relating to Ealing comedy. Ealing Studios are just over the road.
Layout
The pub is L shaped, with the bar and alcove style seating at the front. Prior to the refurb (2001?), this front section was all there was. Now, the pub extends back to the rear with dining tables. There is also a concrete patio at the rear.
Toilets and all facilities are all on the ground floor.
