One of three main-line stations in Croydon. Trains from West Croydon run north to Clapham Junction, London Victoria, and London Bridge, and south to places like Cheam and Sutton. There are few or no fast trains from this station, so if you want to get to west Croydon from London, you may well find it quicker to get a fast train to East Croydon Station and then walk (10 mins).

Turn left out of the station exit and walk left round the corner to get to [West Croydon Bus Station]? and the West Croydon Tramlink stop (2 mins).

The station facilities include a newsagent, a minicab office (just outside the exit), and a branch of Gregg's (a baker's).

Like the rest of Croydon, the station is in Zone 5.
