The Vaudeville is a small-ish but well known theatre about halfway along the Strand in the West End. It is named after the American equivalent of the variety performance, but now it has "normal" shows. It opened on 16 April 1870, and can hold 690 people. Unfortunately there is no wheelchair provision (but this is unsurprising given its age and size). See a seating plan, or a map of all West End theatres.

The Vaudeville is currently showing Stomp.

  • Tube & Rail: Charing Cross is nearest, on the Bakerloo and Northern lines (as well as [South Eastern Trains]?). However, Embankment, Covent Garden and Leicester Square are all nearby.
  • Buses: Strand Southampton Street bus stop is almost right outside the theatre. It is the first stop after Charing Cross (coming from the west) or Aldwych (coming from the east) and serves all bus routes along the Strand (see TfL Trafalgar Square bus spider map for details).
  • Car: The Masterpark at Trafalgar Square or NCP on Drury Lane. Both are very expensive and can be hard to get to; as with any destination in Central London, public transport is recommended.
