The University of London is the collective of many of the colleges in London, although they are very independent. The central university is located in Bloomsbury, in a building called Senate House. Services provided by the federal university include Senate House Library and the [University of London Union]?.

Some students have their degrees awarded by the federal university, others have them awarded by the individual colleges.
