Drinks
Hoegaarden, Marston Pedigree, other standard pub pints. Strongbow is £2.80/pint. [Prices as of August 2003]
They have no fewer than four flavours of schnapps, and six of vodka.
Food
Sandwiches, snacks, burgers, nachos, main courses. “P & P” nachos are £7.10), enough for two people if they're not very hungry. They were advertised as coming with cheese, sour cream, salsa and guacamole, but the guacamole was mysteriously absent. Very good fresh juicy salsa though.
“Stacks for sharing” are odd. They cost up to £10 and consist of three stacked steamer baskets, one of which contains chips, another dips, and the final one a small amount of interesting things like wontons and filo-wrapped prawns, or breaded scampi and onion rings, depending on the theme of your particular stack. Even given that this place is expensive overall, these look like a rip-off to me.
There is a fruit stack at £5, which is a nice change from normal pub food, and is fresh and plentiful. The mezze plate (£4.50) is also good — pitta bread, hummous, aubergine dip, carrot and cucumber sticks.

Layout
Tables outside (but right next to the busy Bellevue Road) in nice weather. Four or five large sofas in the front part, tables behind, conservatory (in which children are welcome until 7pm) at rear.
Service and Ambience
I've only been here at lunchtime, when it's been pretty quiet. It's generally table service, but I prefer to order and pay at the bar when I'm on my own for a quick lunch, and they seem fine with that.
