London Vegetarian And Vegan Groups
UK Vegetarianism is now over 150 years old. Vegetarian roots and philosophy go back thousands of years with many great thinkers and philosophers speaking out in favour of a vegetarian way of life.
The Vegan Society was founded over 60 years ago in November 1944.
It's predicted that the number of UK Vegans will double during 2007.
This will be helped by events such as The Vegan Festival in Bristol on the 9th and 10th June( www.BristolVeganFayre.co.uk ) and other vegan festivals in London and Southampton.
One of the oldest groups in London is the Croydon Vegetarians established in 1886. They now have a website at www.croydon.vegetariansvegans.co.uk
