Your best bet for a reasonably filling lunch for under a fiver is either the bacon roll (�3.50) or soup (�3.90) plus bread (50p). The meaty soups are more filling than the veggie ones, which could sometimes benefit from a splash of olive oil.

• Orecchiette pasta with ricotta, walnuts, garlic, lemon and parmesan (small portion £4.80, large portion £8 - the small is only really enough for lunch if you're not all that hungry)
• Sirloin steak sandwich with fried onions (£6)
• Roast vegetable and chickpea salad with cumin yoghurt (£6)
